I purchased a house that has an ADT Safewatch Custom system (with keypad model# 7604-018) without instruction manual. The Status light began flashing, and The keypad panel says to push Trouble(2)...there is no Trouble button and or when you simply push the number 2 you get a long beep after a few seconds. any help appreciated!!

Just to make sure we are talking about the same hardware, does your system look like the one on the following link?

Unfortunately, it is not the same. My keypad does not have a LCD screen.

How about this keypad model?

The problem is that "Safewatch Custom" is a label that ADT has put on a _lot_ of the keypads that they have modified for their hardware.
What is the model number written on the inside of the door of the box with the battery and the motherboard?

The model on the motherboard says 7604-030, and the motherboard was manufactured by ARITECH. The manual ADT refers to is TA-7604/1 (on the door of the box). Thanks for your reply.

Do you have any suggestion on the flashing Status light? Thanks,

Press and hold 2 for a couple of seconds. In a normal Z1100 2 + [code] gives the zone status, but these were a lot more heavily modified.
Given the age of the system, my bet is on low battery.

I had the battery changed, but the problem still exist. The Status blinks fast 5 times and stop for about 1 second, then repeats. More help needed. Thanks

The fact that ADT doesn't have this user manual on their site anymore doesn't help matters.
By process of elimination, if the "status" light corresponds with the "ready" light on a normal Z1100, then you have a zone bypassed. If it corresponds with the "armed" light, then you have an alarm memory.
Try using some of the commands in the regular Z1100 user manual. I think that one of the two conditions above apply.
Given that it's an 12-15 year old system that has significant modifications for ADT specs, I suspect that you are not going to be able to actually gain control of this system. You will most likely need to replace the control and keypad(s).
