I have an older Aprilaire 600 humidifier that was professionally installed about 15 years ago on my furnace. It has been working without concern for all that time. This year I noticed that the water solenoid was not shutting off atoumatically when the the heat is not blowing. I can shut it off by turning the humidstat to off, and it will shut off by itself on the test setting, so the I don't think the problem is with the solenoid. But any other setting and the solenoid activates and stays on. I am not much of an electrician, but was hoping someone could steer me in the right direction. Any advice is appreciated

Sounds like the humidistat is defective, and may need to be replaced.
