this is about 5 year old home alarm professionally installed, with no problems up to now.
Two keypads are installed. One of them has developped very low beep / chime volume and it cannot be adjusted (as per the manual) any higher.
I have found a reasonably priced new keypad and it looks like a easy job to replace.
Question: is the keypad a probable problem? and if so, can it be just changed without any programing?
thanks for your help.

DSC keypads require programming. You have to set them to an address, and you have to re-run the module supervision, or the panel will go into trouble looking for the "missing" keypad.

(you will need the installer code for this)
