Hello all,
I just moved in to a new house that has been set up with the following:
Ademco Vista-20PSIA
1x Ademco 6270 Touch Screen
1x IP Unit for Security System communication (I don't have/want a home phone line)
It also came with a Vista ICM, just not installed.
I installed the ICM myself and was able to configure it (I think). There is a little note in there about setting the Device Address via "honeywell/setup" but it doesn't explain and I can't seem to find anything on how to program the ECP Device Address for the ICM via the Control Panel (6270)???
The control panel itself looks to be set to ECP 1.
I'm really interested in learning more about using the ICM, programming the Vista-20P unit myself, as well as adding on HVAC ICM and lighting control, but all of the documents I'm finding are general user manuals. If anyone could point me to more detailed documentation I would greatly appreciate it!

Hi Patrick,
You set the device address through software.
Here are links to some information:
Quick Start Guide (http://www.in2networks.com/PDFs/pdf44.pdf)
Users Guide (http://library.ademconet.com/MWT/fs1/7/4841.pdf)
Full Installation and Setup Guide (http://www.in2networks.com/PDFs/pdf46.pdf)
Note: You must use IE  not Firefox, Opera, etc.
:)

Thanks OldGrouchy,
I've actually read over all of those already and have configured the ICM (via IE) based on the instructions.
But within those they state to: "Enter the device address that the Vista ICM will use. The panel must be configured to treat the ICM as if it were an Alphanumeric Keypad. (NOTE: For Vista 20P security panels, only addresses 16-23 are valid.)"
That's what I'm not sure about. I can't find anything on the Vista-20P that tells me how to configure that port (23 for example) as a Keypad so it will be usable via the ICM web gui.

Oh! That's what's confusing you. You must turn on one of the keypad addresses in locations *190 - *196 in the 20p programming. The ECP addresses and the keypad addresses are two different things.
Address 16 is reserved for the first standard keypad (you do know you still need one, even with the 6270 installed?).
Go into the 20p programming, enter *190 10.
This turns on keypad address 17. Set your software "keypad"
as device 17 (if you have a keypad at that address, use one of the unused addresses).
