Not sure if right place but fits..kind of with windows?

Fireplace 4 pane glass door, 2 each side (pocket doors), one glass panel busted..got tempored glass cut but can't make the glass door assembly "tight" meaning hold together, the 2 panes of glass and the frame..not tight.

the door has 2 Screws on top and bottom at hinge for the horizontal channels and 2 screws for the for handle in the vertical channel all attached to a piano hinge

there are 2 pieces of metal (kind of a serious of ups and downs) in the vertical door channel that may or may not be in the correct location (played with that for an hour)

My problem and question, how does the fireplace glass door work. the vertical "handle side" has to be in compression being the screws are on the hinge side....how do you do that?

I'm going nuts...

thanks for any advice or if I'm not clear I'll be back!!

Mike

Is there a piece of rubber that holds the glass into the frame? Did you take the door off, lay it flat, glue the glass into the frame and put tape on the corners to hold it together until it dried?

The hinge part confuses me because a pocket door doesn't have a hinge. It slides into a pocket where it isn't seen.
