Wallpaper and Wallcoverings - I brown papered a wall need some info Please.

:confused:I brown papered 3 walls in my basement. That was an easy job with no problems.:) I didn't do an outside wall just 3 inside walls.
But did a room for a friend and we did the basement walls next to the outside and the paper keeps falling off. I did it the very same way I did mine at home.:wall:

Anyone have any idea what I did wrong.
Would like to really know what I did wrong.

Could it be that the outside walls are damp or extremely cold? Did the friend also help glue and perhaps spread the glue on to thin. I know that in wallpaper, if someone puts the glue on to thin, or lets it set to long before applying, it will pop away from the wall.
