I am thinking of building a two-shelf bookcase for my home office, but I would want this bookcase to be mounted to the top of the wall at the ceiling. Does anyone know of any sites that would be able to show me what kind of bracing I would have to put on the wall/ceiling in order to support the bookcase? Or, can anyone tell me here?

Thanks.

Not sure I follow.

You want to make a two shelf bookcase (relatively small I imagine) and mount it to the ceiling?

What are the dimensions of the bookcase and the wall???????

It can be secured to wall studs or ceiling joists(usually 16"on center), but the mounting points on the bookcase should be reinforced. 1x3 screwed/glued to the sides and/or top will usually be sufficient to reinforce for mounting. Use #12 or larger screws, cabinet mounting screws work well.
