I would like to attach my shop vac to a hand held belt sander. It has got a 1" outlet, it's about the same size as the shop vac end, I would like something flexible maybe to couple them together. Any ideas?

You should be able to find something in the plumbing dept. at Home Cheapo, maybe Furnco.

Rockler's (Multi-Step Hose Reducer - Rockler Woodworking Tools (http://www.rockler.com/product.cfm?page=19445&filter=adapter)) sells various adapters that will attach different diameter hoses to each other. They even offer a "universal" adapter that is basically a black plastic stepped cone with steps in various sizes from 4" down to about 1". You just cut it at the sizes you need.
