I have been trying for two days to get this thing in and working
i have 24 vac to the two yellow wires on the humidifier but the water valve fales to open any ideas

Your HE360 outputs 24vac. It doesn't need you to supply it with 24vac. It needs 120v. Once you supplied 120v + closed the 24vac circuit with the humidistat, the valve should open.
