I am at a loss, I have a gas fireplace that vents directly outside, the vent termination pipe is a direct source into the fireplace, do vent pipes have no dampners? The area in front of the fireplace has a super cold draft, my only option was to shut the fireplace off and plug the vent pipe going to the outside.

Could I have the wrong vent pipe installed? Do they make vent pipes with dampners?
