I read the threads on Honeywell HE220 and Lennox G43UF. They are all a little bit over my head. Can I follow this figure for my installation?

Where does the transformer go?

Can I use the existing transformer from my Honeywell W8150 Fresh Air Ventilation Control?

What are the R and C terminals on the transformer?

What are the C and NO wires on the Humidistat?

Obviously, I'm a beginner in HVAC. Thanks in advance for the help.

Where does the transformer go?
Black wire on to HUM on the board, and white wire to any of the open neutral terminal

Can I use the existing transformer from my Honeywell W8150 Fresh Air Ventilation Control?
What is that wired to for power, or is that "hot" all times?

What are the R and C terminals on the transformer?
R is "Hot", and C is "Common/neutral"

What are the C and NO wires on the Humidistat?

What's the model # on this?

So in the figure, can I just put the transformer at the HUM and C? Or does the humidistat need a separate power source? Is the C on the furnace board the same as the Neutral on the board? The transformer is wired to a standard light switch on the furnace. So it sounds like I don't want to use that, right? The humidistat is a Honeywell H8908B.

Yes.

Yes.

Correct, this is hot all times.

You wire it up as shown in the link you posted to drawing.

So ignore the Hum and C on my drawing, that goes to the transformer itself.

How do I wire the H8908B humidistat? What are the C and NO wires on the Humidistat?

It don't matter what side of the wire you hook up.. It's just a basic switch inside..

"NO" means the switch is normaly open.

Thanks Jay. You're a life saver. I'm now a little bit more educated in the electrical and HVAC area.Beer 4U2

I only have to wire the humidistat. Right now the humidifier is running to the transformer so every time the furnace turns on the humidifier does as well. I'll probably mount the humidistat up stairs next to the thermostat.

I'm in the Des Moines area. Can't wait for more snow.
