ok.. here's my problem.
I have a total of 5 air con running on 3 compressors. the one which i am always using has problems. after 5 minutes or so of usage, it trips the breaker, even when there are no others on at that time. it's just this unit which has problems, the rest works perfectly well. i am wondering what the problem is. Is it the breaker or the compressor?
please help me.thanks

Operator error? Just joking perhaps you should provide a bit more information before anyone throws out a wild guess? Do you have a amp probe so you can check the amp draws etc>?

on the one tripping the breaker....check all the line voltage connections from the condenser circuit breaker in the house out to the disconnect at the condenser.then pop the unit cover for the compressor, and check the contactor connections and the terminals into the compressor......could be just loose connections,if the compressor was shot it would trip right at the start.if the condenser fan isn't running that could give you HI head and produce AMPS to trip the breaker.an amprobe won't hurt looking at this.
