I just installed a Honeywell HE-260A humidifier. I knew the one thing the Aprilaire models had over Honeywell was the humidistat that monitored the outside air temperature. Is it possible to swap out the h-stat that was included with the HE-260A with an Aprilaire replacement h-stat. Like the Aprilaire Replacement RP56 Auto Trac Humidistat Control?

Yes, you can use that if you want.
If you need help getting that wired up, let me know.

Jay,
Is there a better h-stat other than that one I linked to above? I want it to monitor outside air and adjust accordingly. It would be nice if it didnt need constant power but if there are some features that I would get that the more simple ones don't offer then I would be up for a little extra effort.
Side note: I would like to keep it in the return rather than running it upstairs to the living space.
Any suggestions would be appreciated!
Thanks again!

There's the Honeywell H1008A one that works like the Aprilare, but you have to buy the outdoor sensor.
