Three Questions:

1) What are the dimentions of the hole, there is no template in my instructions.

2) Is it ok to mount next to the AC coils, so long as you don't cut or puncture the coils during the process? (there is exactly ONE place I can put mine, and I think the coils are directly behind it... of course)

3) I'd like mine to run whenever the blower is on (with the Colorado sunshine, the heater doesn't run much during the day, but we'd leave the blower on so the humidifier will run) so should I use the sail switch and associated stuff that came with the Install Kit or somehow wire it directly to the furnace so it senses when the blower is running (and then return the install kit)?

I can't read a wiring diagram to save my life, but really would prefer not to pay the HUGE extra amount to have it installed. Any help would be appreciated.

Your install manual is your template. It will say "Template" on both sides. It's going to be 13 1/2"w by 14"h

As long the coil is set up like you see in FIG 1 of the install manual, you can do it.

You might be able to wire it to your furnace.. What is the make and model of it? If we can wire it, then the sail switch won't be needed. You could return the kit, and buy the other supplies by itself.

Sorry to hijack this thread, but I am also having a hard time wiring in a HE360A humidifier into my furnace. The furnace is a Carrier Weathermaker 9200 with a specific 24V Humidifier 'lug' if you will. Can I wire the humidifier and humidistat directly without using a sail switch? Thanks, and sorry again for hijacking the thread but I'm at my wits end!
