I HAVE A 25 GALLON 4 HP. OILFREE SINGLE CYLINDER CRAFTSMAN COMPRESSOR MODEL919,152920. tHE TANK PUMPS UP TO 45 POUNDS AND STAYS THERE WHEN TANK IS SHUT OFF THERE IS NO LEAK. i CANNOT GET TANK PRESSURE PASTED THAT.SOMEONE TOLD ME ITS A SCEW THAT MIGHT HAVE BACKED OUT ADJSTMENT SCREW CANT FIND THAT. I HAVE THIS ALL TORE APART AND CANT FIND ANYTHING PLEASE HELP I DONT WANT TO SCRAP THIS . THANKS ALOT " red "

Hello Red,
The common problem I see with these oilless units is the piston seal. I think you'll see that if you remove the piston, the seal will be hard, distorted, and/or scratched/torn. Replacement of the piston generally is the fix.

thankyou on my piston replacement. do you know if it cost is more to replace it than maybe buying a new compressor and where would i get a new piston and ring. thanks alotn " RED "

Go to sears's website and lookup parts. You can enter the model number for the compressor, look up the piston, and order it there. It's probably less than $40. I doubt there are any rings to replace. It's a seal.
