Fireplaces, Heating Stoves, Flues and Chimneys - Upgrading cabin Fisher Woodburner

Bought cabin having a Fisher Woodburner. The installer had built a rock chimney outside building with a single-wall flue extending out from woodburner and up rock chimney. Problem is too much smoke, probably leaking flue, rock chimney is busting up and needs a register and special vent. I must tear down this rock chimney and want to install the flue directly up through the roof of the cabin. I think I remember that there is something that can be attached to the woodburner before extending the flue and then the special vent above the roof before screening to keep critters out. Cannot find the site to identify these items, measure the flue and what sealants and caps I must have. Fisher woodburner is extremely efficient, no problem there, but, smoke inside cabin is horrible until fire is going steadily. I have never tackled this particular project and need techical advice for I shall be doing this job myself.

Fisher wood stoves fell out of favor because they did not meet EPA guidelines. Here's a link to an old manual with installation instructions that should answer all your questions.

Smoke coming back into the cabin may be a result of negative air pressure. Crack a window or door to see if that eliminates the smoke.
