I have a sears 125psi - 12 gl. compressor that is a little over a year old.
Haven't used it in 3 months. when I turned it on yesterday it gets the pressure to about 20 lbs. then stops compressing but keeps on running. I noticed that the air filter holes are drawing air in when it first starts but start blowing air out when it gets to the 20 lb. mark.
Any ideas on this issue?

Intake valve broken or stuck open.

I looked at the parts list and do not see any part listed as an intake valve. Where would it be located?

there will be a plate under the head with reed valves in it, one of them is bad.
are you going to cowboy up of just lay there and bleed?
