I cannot get my troybilt leafblower to run properly. It is about 3 years old . It will not start unless i put gas into the carb throat. After it starts, it will still not run properly. I have to keep the choke almost closed to keep it running. I purchased another troybilt leafblower (for parts) and changed the carb but it still will not run. Was there a problem with most of these zama carbs. Any help would be appreciated.

Have you tried the simple things first.... like cleaning the air filter, checking the plug, fresh gas with the proper ratio of oil, etc.? Also check for air leaks around the carb intake, cylinder head, etc. Later!
