Thanks for your time, I'll get right to the point. What alternator will work in the old TEC H60 7500 series mated to an Ariens 6hp snowblower. I would like to add some modern convenience to a great oldie. Many different ones out there. I'd just like an onboard 12v start sys, dual lights and a decient size battery. Flipping and comparing parts and #'s there are plenty of dual alternators but no info on flywheels. My exact motor #'s are: H60 75361J S#3311R. Comparing part #'s I've found that alot of parts are shared throughout the H60-H70 motors. Any help...please.

one thing to consider is whether or not the block will accept a starter. next, how long is the typical run for the unit ? you may be able to get by with just a battery and perhaps one light by using a small automotive battery and a smart trickle charger between runs. check with a couple repair shops on the flywheel. it's one of "those parts" we seemed to always have too many of laying around.
