HELLO ALL....I am having issues with my hot water heater. I have no issue lighting the pilot. The issue I am having is when I turn the dial to to desire setting after I light the pilot. The flame seems to be getting high and the pilot blow out. Thank you

Buy the sounds of it I would assume.... the piolet assmbly is dirty, the gas pressure is to high, the piolet is improperly adjusted ( must wrap the thermocouple the last 1/4 inch) or the gas valve is on the way out ... YOU NEED A GAS TECK if you are on this site trying to fix this problem.. the home owner should not be adjusting a gas applince..
thats why they go to school for 4 years...
so they don't blow you and your family up...
hope that helps....
