Hello,
I have installed 5 - 75 watt electronic low voltage remodel recessed lights. I wired the lights with by tapping the ceiling fan so the power goes to the fixtures first, then we have a wire going from the fixture to the box where we have a dimmer.
Question 1: Is it ok to have the wiring go from fixture to dimmer, all the instructions I found only show the power to dimmer then to the fixture.
If the above is ok, what would cause the lights to flicker when the dimmer is set to high? I have the incoming wire from the light wired with white (hot) to black of dimmer and black to red and white of dimmer and green to ground
Thanks for the help

If they are electrically equivalent, then it matters not how you run the cable.
If the above is ok, what would cause the lights to flicker when the dimmer is set to high?Is the dimmer specifically for low-voltage lights? Is it installed before or after the transformer?

Yes, the dimmer was for low voltage.
Transformer, hmmm, I don't have one, by your comment I am guessing I need one? Can you let me know how I should install it ?

I just read my lights in more detail, I believe the transformers are part of the recessed lighting, but do I need another one for the dimmer
