hey all, i'm normally pretty good at things like this but this one has got me stumped. i have a shower faucet that is leaking. i have replaced the stems, o-rings, washers and even the spout itself just to cover everything i could think of. i actually just tore it apart again and replaced the o-rings again as one looked crushed. but it is still leaking. it's not just dripping it has a steady little stream coming from the faucet.

anyone have any ideas?

thanks

What brand...Delta maybe? Did you use the right washers and springs for the seats? There are 2 diff styles depending on the age of the fixture.

Use plumbers grease (silicone) on the O rings to prevent tearing.

the brand is Kohler and i have use plumbers grease on the parts(inner threads and o-rings). i have also used teflon tape on the outer threads of the fittings.

there are no springs in this set up everything just screws together. its an older set up but was able to find all the correct washers, o-rings and stems for it.

i was thinking about changing the piping as it is older also but after taking a better look at it all the pipes are the old black pipe or something like that.
