Attempting to replace spring in a Craftsman 36cc chain saw. New spring from Sears, comes in plastic wrapping with a plastic ring around it. Spring with plastic wrapping does not line up with groove that one end of spring fits into. I have already spent a couple hours and worn out my hands trying to get this thing in place and have had to rewrap the sping numerous times,, no fun, believe me. If there is a secret way to o this please feel free to share!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:wall:

I'm not sure where your problem is...it's not lining up at one of the ends? Which one? The spool end or the housing end?
