So you will all have to forgive my ignorance when it come to electical stuff, but here's the situation. I'm house sitting for a friend and she has a light in her bathroom that goes on and off by switching from left to right instead of up and down. Anyways it's stuck on. The switch moves from left to right but nothing happens. I'm just wondering if I leave the light on if there's any sort of fire hazard or should i pull the breaker before I leave?

It all depends upon the circumstances. There are hundreds of millions of lights that are left on 24/7 without any fires resulting. Your particular instance may not be any more of a fire hazard than those hundreds of millions but then again, it might be. Best to turn off the breaker as long as it doesn't control the refrigerator or freezer.

Or, just unscrew the light bulb, assuming it is a standard incandescent bulb.
