Have a rheem 10 seer heat pump mdl#rpka024jaz outside of main cabinet on condenseing unit is a small box which holds 2 controls one labled 1st stage is variable with temps reading the other is a toggle switch with 2 positions normal operation or heat pump only explain their purpose and the proper setting for them.heat pump with nat.gas back up

The know with degrees would be the temp below which both Hp and furnace start together to heat house.
Normal toggle is as above. HP only cuts outdoor tstat out all together as if tstat was not installed.
