I have a walk-in closet with a sloped ceiling that we just took a florescent light out of. We were looking to put something in that was lower profile (under cabinet lights?) and we don't want to break into the tongue-and-groove ceiling or the insulation behind it.
I saw some LED lights like these Kichler lights (http://www.amazon.com/18-Inch-LED-Under-Cabinet-Light/dp/B001BLUEWQ/ref=sr_1_5?ie=UTF8&s=hi&qid=1227462053&sr=1-5) at Lowes, but they're not direct wire. We don't have socket in the closest and already have a wire on a switch from old florescent.
The Lowes brand lights don't have the best reviews, so I was wondering if anybody has any suggestions for LED low-profile/under-cabinet direct-wire lights. Chain-able is a plus. And far cheaper than that Amazon link above too.
Thanks!

Although I haven't looked for a price, NSL's Shelf Star (http://nslusa.com/shelfstar.html) is along the lines of what I'm looking for, except I can't seem to find a direct-wire option.

Installing LEDs usually means you will need something to convert the power to DC. I am planning to install LumaFlex (https://www.motovatedstore.com/categories/Lighting/Home-Lighting/Low-Profile-Strip-Lighting/) with a good power supply that I can hide someplace. This way I can power thousands of LEDs and make switches for each of the circuits. The lighting is bright enough that I could do darn near the whole house in LED. :madhell:
