I have seen the previous threads about wiring, but I am still unsure. I have the 18-2 wire. Do I have to split the 2 wires? Does one wire go from HUM to humidistat, then to the solenoid, then to the 24vcom.

Correct, the red is your "hot" side, and white is "common" side.
Just like this.

So the red wire will be solid from the hum to the humidistat? The white wire runs from C, gets cut and ties to one wire on the solenoid, then the other wire on the solenoid ties back into the white and carries on to the humidistat. Also, what if the 24vcom already has a wire on it? Can I still put this common on it?

Yes you can piggy back the wires on the Com.
