fairly new mower, i installed a mulch kit this morning, then had trouble starting the mower, got it going (don't know what ) had gas and fire, put back together It starts, will die if I try to engage blade, clutch/brake safety switch and seat switch work, the seat will kill the engine also, the brake/clutch will not even let it crank if not engaged. tried to find schematic on sears site but it doesn't show the safety switch on the blade engagement section.
any help will be nice
thanks

Does it stall when you release the clutch pedal as well? Can you turn the blade pulleys by hand? How did you verify operation of the seat switch?

The interlock switches on these mowers are dual circuit switches. It's possible to have one side of the switch go out while the other side works, so it's possible that the clutch pedal switch that interlocks the starter could be good, while the side that interlocks the ignition may not be working.
