I am new to working with Granite Tile, so this may seem very basic, but I want to make sure I do the repair right. I have one tile that popped off of a bathroom sink...it's not cracked or damaged. What is the proper way to re-set the tile in place? It is an edge piece that wraps over the counter at the front of the counter. Thanks!

If this is an older job, a few dabs of silicon caulk will usually stick it back in place. If this is a new job, it could be a random thing, or a warning of a bad job. But silicon will still work.

Thanks for the suggestion. This work was done 4 years ago, and I haven't had any other problems. It looks like the piece got leaned on or something and since it was an edge piece, it just popped off. Thanks, again!

I'de be weary if it's only 4 years old.....

It's out of warranty by now, so I am not sure what I can do except repair it and hope for the best. I had the work done on 3 countertops and this is the only issue so far, so I will cross my fingers!

Did they install the tile onto a cement board or isolation membrane first, and not tile directly onto plywood?

Good question. It's in our other house, and i am not there right now to look again. But, I can reply in a few days. But, IIRC, it was applied to cement board.
