My son bought a molded shower and tub. I thought I had a friend available to install it - he is a contractor that also has a plumbing Lic. He specializes in Bathroom remodels. He's tied up for months.
I told my son to call some plumbers and get an estimate. My question is" Will most plumbers repair the floor after removing an old tub or do they tell you to find a carpeter?
I am going to tile or his floor after the tub is installed and will repair the sub floor in that area if needed, but I need to know if I should tell my som to call a plumber or a carpenter to replace the tub/shower? Certainly a plumberr would not put ashower in if the florr is damaged would he?
Thanks

They should be able to fix the subfloor if it's just the plywood and not joist structure.
Whats wrong with the floor now?

Nothing we know of - I was told that when removing an old tub that you can expect floor damage from years of water. No?
