Installing a pellet stove, and have a 1 ft and 2 ft option on the first/only horizontal run from my stove through the wall thimble. The preferred length is 14 1/2" though to save floor space and get an approx. 4" clearance to my siding.
A hacksaw would probably be ugly, so I was thinking some sort of industrial strength dremel? Another issue is that the inner pipe is 1/8" shorter than the outer. Any expertise would be appreciated. Thanks in advance:confused:

don't think it would be a good idea to cut that piping, one reason is that it will be hard to make it where you can get a good seal on the pipe to pipe connection, also that should be stainless steel, so will be harder to cut cleanly with a hacksaw or small dremel.

The simple solution was a chop saw with an abrasive cutting disc. Just went slow and used emery to clean up the edge. The pipe was galvanized, about 24 to 26 ga. Thanks for the reply Speedwrench.Beer 4U2
