Need help in figuring why my garage door opener lights comes on by itself everyday at 6:30am and it stays on until I go and manually turn it off. I am guessing a neighbour must be on the same wavelength or something but why would the light not go off after the 5 min timer.....This is getting very annoying.
My remote has 3 buttons, Is there also a way to program the extra 2 buttons to turn the light off remotely.
Thanks

creoledude,
Do you have a security + garage door opener and a multi function door control?

Does it come on exactly at 6:30 a.m.? Is the door open or closed at that time? Almost every GDO has a manual override that allows you to turn the light on and leave it on.
The other two buttons are to control accessories, like inside lamps. They generally do nothing unless you buy the accessory receiver. It is, however, possible to program any or all of the buttons to control the GDO, although it is common to only program the large button.
Why don't you go ahead and tell us the model number of your GDO?
