I am trying to sharpen some tapcon drill bits with my
Drill Doctor, but I can't seem to find the correct angle.
118 or 135 degrees. I have been looking on the net for a while now and can't find a site with the answer.

Thanks for any help,

Barry

P.S. I have some 22 bits from a friend that have been sharpened at both angles.

I don't have the angle answer for you Barry but you should be able to determine it from the bit itself.

What I question is; will your drill doctor sharpen carbide? It takes a special grind wheel to sharpen carbide. Using the wrong wheel is not ver successful and can actually damage the carbide and the grind wheel.

I doubt you can sharpen Tapcon bits with a regular drill doctor product. Drill sharpeners will only place a tapered finish on the tip, while the Tapcons have carbide tips intended for concrete, and are offset from the normal angle.
