I obtained my grandmother's antique brass bed, it's a full size frame, headboard and footboard. I need to convert the frame to fit my queen size mattress and box spring. The side rails to the original frame are L-shaped steel rails that fit into (sit on) a bracket on the head and footboard. How do I convert this to fit my queen mattress? Besides purchasing a full size mattress. This bed is close to 100 years old.
