My horizontal Coleman gas furnace will not heat. The blower comes on and the gas never fires-up. A little red "LED" light on the circuit board mounted on the gas air handler flashes 4 times indicating: High aux or spill limit switch open.

:coffee:Please advise.

I've seen this with a newer type Coleman I had in a rental, where it has a small limit switch with 2 wires hooked to it. And in the middle of the limit is a pin like button that you can press. And if you hear it make a little click, it was tripped out. Then you might have to reset your furnace by turning it off for maybe 30 seconds, turn on, and it may come back on. This may get you by until you then were to figure out why it limited in the first place.

What kind of ignitor do you have? The HSI glow coil?

Sometimes those codes that blink can be a little misleading, as they may have the circuit correct but it may be something else on that circuit, and you may have to test the entire low voltage saftey circuit. And also may want to test the glow coil to make sure it is good.

In case of high limit, if that is what it is, be sure filter is clean and vents are not closed down.
