My son wants to install 6 high hats (recess light in ceiling-max 75 watt) in living room.He wants 3 circuits of 2 lights each.He would like to be able to dim the lights. Is there any way to install one switch plate (switch box) that can control the 3 circuits (on and off and possible to dim from switch plate) and be able to use wireless to operate from the couch. I can't use lamp modules in the ceiling and want to wire straight into the electric.I know it can be done with lapms but can it be done with lights in ceiling.Would I be able to use the new CF bulbs.

Check out these items (http://www.smarthomeusa.com/ShopByManufacturer/HomePro/Item/ZDW100/relatedItems/). (Just a sample of what's out there.)

I would run power to the three-gang switch box, and branch each of the three switch legs from there.

Some CFLs can be dimmed, but it's iffy. Read the fine print on the back of the package. Most of what you find at the big box stores will say not to use them on a dimmer. Those that can be dimmed are generally much more expensive.
