I had carpet and I pulled it out. Under the carpet is a nice wooden floor. I want to keep the floor but the varnish needs to be redone. What do I do:confused:

The proper way is to sand and refinish the floors. With newer type sanders that can be rented, not as big a job as it used to be. Moving the furniture and putting up with the smell is the big thing. I would us a poly finish to last. Good luck!
