Can some of the experts here recommend some good budget quality laminate flooring, or is there not such a thing? (budget, but good quality) :D

I looked at budget hardwood myself and decided on a better quality because of the area . If you plan on a bedroom or low traffic area id use a budget laminant 10 yr warranty.
I chose Armstongs Grand Illusion Cherry Bronze at $3.99 sqf
for livingroom and hallways 25 yr warranty . Its a beauty :)

Go with a major manufacturer that offers good, better, best levels of quality, warranty, and price and purchase the one that your budget will allow.
