I have recently purchased a house and have set up lighting in my living room. I have cords running all over the room because of the way the receptacles are run. I am wondering if anyone knows of a technology that will convert a corded lamp into one that requires no wire. I am at a loss what to do with all these cords.

Flashlights come to mind.
But seriously, no, but if you develop one you will certainly become the next Bill Gates.
It sounds as if you need to consult an electrician about getting the house rewired.
