I have 4 recessed lights that work off one switch. These lights are in a small kitchen and are 65W bulbs. Three lights work okay. When I install a bulb in the 4th fixture, the light won't work when bulb is screwed all the way. However, when I unscrew 1 turn the light will work. What causes this problem? Can I just leave in the bulb when loosened by one turn?
Thanks for any help.

Hi dlhms, The first thing I would try is one of those bulbs from the working lights. If another bulb works fine, then it is probably a bad light bulb. If the second bulb does the same thing, then there may be something wrong with the light fixture or wiring behind it.
Are these new fixtures or have they been working for some time and one bulb just went out. Any remodeling or re-wiring going on?
Bud

Thanks Bud for the information.
The bulb I used was one from a working fixture. No remodeling or wiring work is ongoing.
I had a feeling it might be a fixture or the wiring. Fixing the problem may be more than a DIY effort.
