My new light fixture requires the use of a single "gold" supply wire and maintains that stranded wire should not be used. Of course, I have stranded wire. I love the fixtures and want to keep them if at all possible. What are my options?

Not sure I understand, but why not use a wire nut to splice on some solid wire to the stranded.

Sorry John---I checked the instructions again. It actually says to use "single solid brass" circuit wires. Can I still use a wire nut? This is all very new to me...
Thanks.
