buying a home that has tile throughout, want to carpet bedrooms. Is it possible to lay over tile,how and can this work? tack strip? transitions? or should I just tear out tile and do it that way? thanks

You can do carpet over tile, using concrete tack strips and proper transition from carpet to tile.

First question is.... Vinyl tiles, or ceramic tiles?
You can nail right through vinyl tiles. Ceramic tiles will need to be drilled and pegged, to attach each nail, to hole the tackstrips.
