Most folks tend to report that motion activated sprinklers tend to offer the most control for furry pests entering the landscape. Of course, we are entering winter season where sprinkler systems will get frozen.

If cats are a problem, contact the local animal control.
They may offer traps for free. If not, you can purchase trap(s) and take cats to the local shelter.
