At the ceiling.
Are what universal? Do you mean the wire nuts? Wire nuts come in a number of different sizes, depending on the size and number of wires.

Wirenuts are generally found up in the escutcheon plate at the ceiling. Have fun but be careful. You may need scaffolding. The wirenuts that are there now can probably be reused.

Although wire nuts can sometimes be successfully reused, given the amount of effort it takes to get up there, I recommend new wire nuts. Read up on how to properly apply them.

By universal I was asking if 'chandelier wiring ' was universal but sadly I have learned that the wiring is done at the ceiling.
Due to health and age I'll send the other half up there - :-)
Thanx for letting me know what's up so I can plan the transition.
