Im on a concrete slab I have 2 floor vents poored into the concrete aproximately 4" from the outside walls and 10" long. Im installing Armstrong Grand Illusions laminant.
Im new at this but being a home owner i learn many trades as i go :). I have the area preped and ready but im curious as what is the best approach to lay around these floor vents?
Ive thought about creating a picture frame like surrounding and permanently fastening that. But this would need somthing to hold the edges down . Has any1 dealt with this before ?

If you do that and permanently secure the picture frame, you will need an expansion space around the picture frame that will need a T molding all the way around it.
All that I have done in manufactured homes, I just cut it big enough for the floor vent, and drop the vent in the hole.

Yea thats what i ended up doing.Theres no traffic against the wall so the small piece along the OS wall shouldnt be a problem.
Thanks
