:confused:Fridge has been turned off for at least a year, but is only 4 years old. It was in a foreclosure home. Fans are blowing out cool air (but not really cold) but not cooling fridge or freezer. I have tried taping off lights that did not work, I pulled grill of back and vacuumed the fan area, hoses, etc. Nothing seems to be working. Any suggestions of what to try next would be appreciated.

Well. If the compressor is running, and the evaporator(cold coils) fan is running, and if you have (warm)coils under the unit where there is another fan, and that too is running, and if the evaporator coils are not frozen over.............then that would not be good. It be either the compressor is not putting out well, or the freon leaked out.
