We are living in a home where there is well water. Everytime we wash our hands, take a shower, etc. it just feels slimy. Like you don't ever quite get all the soap off. I'm wondering what is causing this and what can be done about it.

Do you have a water softener? That can do it.
I bought a softener 3 years ago mostly because of high iron content, and the guy who installed it commented that the softened water will feel slippery.
He was right, and I didn't like the sensation, but eventually got used to it.
