I just moved into my house in September and noticed that when I run hot water in either of the bathroom sinks a loud dripping and creaking sound occurs in the walls. This only happens with hot water. I even boiled water and poured it down the sinks to make sure that it was the result of hot water going down the drain. This does not occur in the bathtubs. I have no idea what the problem is and if I need to be concerned about it. Any information or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Helo, You possibly have ABS drain piping. ABS expands when warned and is rubbing against a stud or other piece of wood, ABS also makes more noise than cast iron so you hear the drip. I don't think you have to worry about it.
