Need some help putting up a light in a bedroom, took down a ceiling fan that had a wall switch control, box has three sets of wires, all black, white, ground coming in, one goes on to ceiling light in bathroom, one to wall switch, and one hot coming in from breaker box, this I know, now can I get any thoughts on how to connect these so everything works.

Call the power cable coming into the ceiling "P". Call the cable going to the switch "S". Call the cable going to the ceiling light in the bathroom "B". Call the set of wires coming from your fan "F". "b" is black and "w" is white.

Connect Pb to Bb to Sw.

Connect Pw to Lw to Bw.

Connect Lb to Sb.

Replace the wall switch with an ordinary switch, and connect Sw and Sb to the two screws.

Use a black magic marker to recolor the insulation on both ends of Sw.

Interconnect all grounding wires and screws in each box.

Be 100% sure that you have correctly identified which cables are "P", "B" and "S". People often guess wrong on this. Don't guess.
