I work in Assistive Technologies and am searching for a kit. I was wanting to know if anyone knows of a kit available to automate existing blinds (i.e. motors, cord manager, etc.) to tilt, raise and lower an average set of mini blinds controlled by IR.
I have found tubular motors but would like to purchase some kind of conversion kit.
Automated blinds can be so expensive and it is hard to find reputable dealers or anyone willing to repair broken blinds. Just looking to cut out the middle man.

The only kits I know of, are only available wholesale to people in the biz, because anyone selling them needs to take a seminar first. They can also be purchased as a finished product (motorized blinds).
Even if you could buy it direct, you would still have to pay retail and would not get it cheaper.

A quick search using the term "mini blind controller" brings up a lot of info on this.
